Lying on the couch I look to my right and see purple and amber rays beaming through the stained glass front door of our cozy 3 bedroom home. On the table next to me is decadence...vegan chocolate chip brownie waffles with pecans and non vegan chocolate...a hand crafted mug billowing with steam from my freshly ground French pressed coffee...creamy and rich...grass green depression glass of fresh cool water condensating, begging to be enjoyed! I pick up my pen and paper to record and savor this moment just as the two four legged monsters wrestle themselves into my dream breakfast...spilling coffee on the rug and almost drowning my waffles! That was a close one...my throat is scratchy from my exclamation (to put it mildly) but I'm breathing deeply again...about to continue reading and taking in the aromas that is perfection this morning.
